Taply Floor turns every server's iPhone into a tableside ordering and payment companion for restaurants already using Taply POS. It connects to the Taply Restaurant POS iPad over local Wi-Fi so staff can take orders, check table status, and hand off payments from anywhere on the floor. TAKE ORDERS AT THE TABLE Browse the live restaurant menu by category, review item details, add notes, and send orders directly into the Taply POS and kitchen workflow from the table. SEE YOUR FLOOR LIVE View table status, active orders, seating progress, and payment state without walking back to the main terminal. Taply Floor keeps servers aligned with the iPad POS during service. SUPPORT TABLESIDE PAYMENT WORKFLOWS Use Taply Floor for payment handoff and eligible Tap to Pay on iPhone workflows when the restaurant has the required payment-provider setup and supported hardware. Cash and non-card workflows remain available for service operations. STAY IN SYNC Menu changes, sold-out items, reservations, order updates, and table state sync from the Taply POS iPad across the local restaurant network. Core staff workflows are designed for busy service environments. SECURE FOR STAFF Staff access is protected with approved device pairing and staff PIN workflows. Floor devices pair only after an authorized manager starts pairing from the Taply POS iPad. Taply Floor 1.8 improves payment safety, floor synchronization, and tableside service reliability. • Split a check into exact cash or Tap to Pay shares, including tips, while keeping the remaining balance aligned with Taply POS • Preserve the same payment attempt through retries and interruptions so a captured card is never collected twice • Recover automatically when a cash or card payment is still being applied by the POS • Keep table layouts, occupied states, orders, and remaining balances current across reconnects • Reconnect to the approved POS more reliably without returning staff to pairing unnecessarily • Improved receipt handoff, service PIN recovery, and tableside stability
