Trip Budget Friends : Kubu

About this app

Planning a trip with a group and nobody really knows what it will cost each person? An Airbnb link drops into the chat, someone asks "how much is that per head?", and the dodgy mental maths begins. People say yes, then back out, and the trip drags on. Kubu fixes that moment. In under 60 seconds, estimate the total cost of your trip, accommodation, transport, activities, food, and see straight away how much it works out per person. No account, no payment, no internet connection. THE "BEFORE" GAP Apps that split expenses between friends handle the after: who owes whom once everyone is back home. Kubu handles the before: can everyone afford this trip, and does the group agree on the budget before booking? That is where the real decisions are made, and where no simple tool existed. HOW IT WORKS • Create a trip in three fields: name, number of people, currency. • Add your budget categories: accommodation, transport, activities, food, other. • The cost per person recalculates in real time as you type each figure. • Share a clear recap card straight into WhatsApp or iMessage. The group sees the numbers and decides with full information. No more awkward "I didn't realise it was that expensive". THE SHAREABLE RECAP CARD A clean visual with the total, the cost per person and the breakdown by category. Send it into the group chat: the undecided make up their minds, the cautious are reassured, and the organiser no longer has to retype figures by hand in the chat. USE CASES • Weekend away with friends: skiing, beach, city break • Stag and hen dos • Road trips with mates • Family or couples holidays • Any trip where "how much is it per head?" stalls the decision WHY YOU CAN TRUST IT • Free, no adverts, no hidden subscription • No account to create, no sign-up • Your data stays on your phone: no server, no forced cloud • Works offline, even on a plane Figures are provided for guidance to help you estimate a planned budget. Stop guessing in your head or retyping numbers in WhatsApp. Open Kubu, enter the figures, share the card. The group decides. You book. Momentum comes from crawler snapshots for the tracked storefront. “Viral growth signal” means unusually fast recent rating gains; it is an indicator, not download data.
