Kerala 28 — Indian Card Game

About this app

Play 28 (Twenty-Eight) ONLINE — South India's favorite trick-taking card game, now in Ember Court: a fast 4-player 28 duel vs real people worldwide or smart AI — or go big with 56, an 8-player double-deck epic. Bid bold, seal a hidden trump, take the points. Born in Kerala and loved across India, 28 is the classic Malayalam card game (Irupathiyettu / Thuruppu). Ember Court reimagines it as a candlelit court where one hidden card can win or lose the whole hand. TWO WAYS TO PLAY - 28 — the classic, at 4 players (you and a partner vs two rivals) or 6 (two teams of three), one deck, 28 points up for grabs. A full hand takes a couple of minutes. - 56 — the eight-player epic: TWO full 28 decks shuffled together (64 cards, every rank twice), two teams of four, bidding all the way to 56. A big, loud table for a crowd — and a true 8-player mode you won't find elsewhere. ONLINE OR SOLO — A MATCH ALWAYS STARTS - Family-friendly (4+), free, with no ads - No account required — sign in is just Game Center - No wifi needed — the whole game runs fully OFFLINE against AI partners and rivals Deal into a live online table and matchmaking seats you with players worldwide. Short a few people? Smart bots fill the empty seats after a brief wait, so a match always starts — you never sit in a dead lobby. If someone drops, a bot quietly takes their seat and the game plays on. THE SEALED TRUMP The heart of 28 and 56: the highest bidder seals one suit as a hidden trump, face down. Nobody knows what it is — until a player who can't follow suit calls for it and the seal breaks. Time that moment right and you steal the hand. Time it wrong and you hand it away. FAST, NOT FUSSY A blitz timer keeps every turn moving. Win tricks in a row to build a Surge. Haptics, a screen-shaking reveal, and a clean court table make every hand quick and satisfying. DAILY COURT Everyone in the world is dealt the exact same hand each day. Play it better than your friends and climb the global board — a fair race, same cards for all. WHAT'S INSIDE - Online OR solo 28 (4 or 6 players) and 56 (8 players, double deck) with smart bot seat-fill - Hidden-trump trick-taking: bid, seal a trump, break it at the perfect moment - Daily Court shared deal + global Game Center leaderboards (ranked, weekly, daily) - Daily streaks and one-tap share cards - Smart AI partner and opponents — play offline, anytime If you love trick-taking and trump card games, bidding, partnership play, and a clever bluff, Ember Court is your next table. Known to Malayali players as Thuruppu or Irupathiyettu — the real Kerala 28, polished for online play. No account required. No ads. Seal the trump. Rule the court.
