Coin Change turns the everyday maths of shopping into a game: work out what comes back, then count it out of the till. Every level plays in two beats. First you work out the change — what they paid, minus the price. Get that right and the cashier drawer springs open. Then you build that exact amount from the money actually in the drawer, move it onto the mat, and hand it over. Here is the twist that makes it stick: the drawer is not bottomless. A big silver coin might be sitting there in one level and gone in the next, so the same amount has to come out as several smaller pieces instead. That is the moment children stop counting and start thinking.
