Caissa is chess the way it should be on a phone: a beautiful board, a real opponent, and nothing at all between you and the game. No ads. No accounts. No internet required — ever. A BOARD THAT TAKES OVER THE SCREEN Tap Play and the board fills the entire display. No toolbars, no status bar, no clutter. Rotate to landscape with a single tap, or step back to the standard layout whenever you want your move list and captured pieces in view. PLAY THE COMPUTER Six difficulty levels, from Beginner to Master, plus a custom Elo setting when you want to dial in an exact challenge. The engine runs entirely on your device, so it never waits on a connection. Choose your colour or let it be decided at random, ask for a hint when a position stumps you, and take a move back when it does not go your way. TWO PLAYERS, ONE DEVICE Pass and play across a table. Both sides get a full move list and captured material, and a flip-board button hands the right view to whoever is thinking. TACTICS PUZZLES A hand-picked set of tactical positions — back-rank mates, forks, and other classic motifs — with instant feedback as you solve. OPENING LIBRARY Browse named openings by ECO code and play through the moves on a live board to see how each one develops. YOUR GAMES, KEPT Every finished game is saved on your device. Replay it move by move, or copy the PGN to your clipboard to take it anywhere. Statistics follow your wins, losses, draws and the openings you reach for most. BUILT TO LOOK GOOD Five board palettes — Emerald, Walnut, Slate, Midnight and Marble — and five classic piece sets. Full light and dark themes that follow your system setting. Coordinates and legal-move highlights on or off, exactly as you like them. GENUINELY PRIVATE Caissa has no servers, no analytics and no third-party trackers. There is no sign-in, no profile and no cloud sync, because there is nowhere for your games to go. Everything stays in the app's own storage on your device, and uninstalling takes all of it with you. NO STRINGS No ads. No subscriptions. No in-app purchases. No "unlock the rest of the app" screens. Caissa is named for the goddess of chess. She does not need Wi-Fi either.
