About this app

One island. Four rivals. Zero internet. Ostrivia is a hex-and-trade board game for two to four people, built for the way board games actually get played: everyone in the same room, around one table, arguing about sheep. No accounts. No lobbies. No notification telling you it's finally your turn. THREE WAYS TO SIT DOWN - Pass & Play — one phone travels round the table - Play Nearby — everyone gets their own screen, connected phone-to-phone over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi - Play with Bots — fill one empty seat, or all of them Every mode runs with the internet switched off. Airplane mode included, on an actual airplane included. HOW IT PLAYS Claim your corners. Two settlements to start; every corner touches three hexes, and every roll pays whoever is sitting on the number. Trade for the rest. Offers are cards you move out of your hand — raise one without withdrawing it, take a card back with a single tap. Build to ten. Roads, settlements, cities, and a few points you keep to yourself. Ten ends it, and everyone finds out what you were hiding. 30 TO 45 MINUTES Long enough to feel like a real game. Short enough to play another one. NEW TO THIS KIND OF GAME? The rules are taught inside the app, in our own words, as you play. Most people are comfortable by the end of their first turn. WHAT'S NOT IN IT No ads. No in-app purchases. No account. No energy timers. No push notifications begging you to come back. Nothing tracked, because there's no server to track it to. Ostrivia is an original game — every drawing, icon, word of the rules, and line of code was made from scratch by three people who kept losing the little wooden pieces.

What’s New

Version 1.1.0 Aug 27, 2026

What's new - Online multiplayer, with 9 unique bot personalities to play against. - House rules: hosts can set game speed, points to win, and hand limit. - Bot games redesigned: pick a difficulty tier (Easy/Normal/Hard) to re-seat all bots at once. - Turn clocks in bot and nearby games. If your time runs out, a bot plays one move for you, but you keep your seat. - Trade screen rebuilt: one clean sheet for trades with players or the bank, showing exactly what changes hands. - Your hand now shows only the cards you hold — no more empty placeholders. - Bigger, easier-to-read names and stats on player cards. - Fixed a bug where the game didn't end right away after a player reached the win score. - Fixed a small gap issue in the board display. - Online rooms stay active with lifelike filler players so games start faster.
