About this app
Epic Ride Weather forecasts the conditions for your entire ride, based on your route, start time and pace. See the wind, rain, temperature, and air quality you'll encounter along the way, at the time you'll actually be there. Load your route, set your start time and pace, and see the wind, rain, temperature, and air quality you'll encounter along the way. Official weather supplier to Team Visma | Lease a Bike, used for race strategy at the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, and Vuelta a España. Use Epic Ride Weather to: • Choose the best time of day to ride • See where you'll get a headwind, tailwind, or crosswind • Know when and where rain is likely • Pick the right kit before you leave • Plan long rides and multi-day tours around changing conditions WEATHER ALONG YOUR ROUTE Weather can change a lot over four hours and 100 km (60 miles). A city forecast can't tell you about the headwind or a 10 degree temperature drop by the time you crest the climb at 11 am. Epic Ride Weather combines your route and expected pace to forecast temperature, feels-like temperature, wind, precipitation, and more, at the time you'll reach each part of your route. UNDERSTAND THE WIND See wind speed and direction along your route, relative to the way you're riding. Know where the headwind starts, where you'll get a tailwind, and which way to ride the loop. FIND THE BEST TIME TO RIDE Compare start times throughout the day. Two hours can be the difference between a soaking and a dry ride, or between a strong headwind and a calm evening. AIR QUALITY ALONG YOUR ROUTE See the Air Quality Index along your route, with details on individual pollutants. See where air quality is worst and when conditions improve, especially when wildfire smoke is changing with the wind. USE THE ROUTES YOU ALREADY HAVE Connect to Strava, Ride with GPS, Komoot, Garmin Connect, Trailforks, MapMyRide, Plotaroute, and Runkeeper, or open a GPX, FIT, or TCX file. You can also forecast Strava Segments to see which of your favorites have the wind behind you today. Professional teams can connect directly to VeloViewer Race Hub. BUILT FOR CYCLISTS Road, gravel, mountain, bikepacking, commuting, racing: anything where you're outside long enough for the weather to change. Epic Ride Weather is free to download and includes a 30-day trial with 1,000 forecasts, enough for around 30 to 40 rides of 100 km (60 miles). Continued use requires a monthly or annual subscription. You can subscribe and pay through your iTunes account. Your subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.
