Kotoba - Quote Widget

About this app

Keep the words that matter where you can see them. Kotoba is your own private dictionary of phrases. Collect the lines you love — from books, films, people, or promises you made to yourself — and pin your favorite one to your Home Screen as a widget. ■ What it does (free) ・Save a phrase with its source, tags, and background color (up to 20) ・Browse them as a stack of cards, like a wallet ・Pull down to fan the cards open ・Tap to edit, swipe left to delete ・Filter by tag, search by keyword ・Sort by the date you added them ・Pin one phrase to a Home Screen widget (small) ・Tap the widget to open that phrase in the app ■ Kotoba Pro (a one-time purchase, not a subscription) ・As many phrases as you like ・As many widgets as you like Reaching the limit never deletes anything you already saved. Only adding new ones stops. ■ Made for ・Anyone who writes down lines from books and films ・Anyone who wants their motto in sight, every day ・Anyone who wants a Home Screen in their own words No notifications. No account. No ads. Your words stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. To improve the app, only anonymous usage (the app was opened, a widget was displayed) is sent. Never the phrases you save, and never your name, email, or advertising ID. You can turn it off under Privacy in the menu.

• Fixed text that was hard to read in dark mode. On a dark screen, the title and the search field could sink into the background. • Added anonymous usage reporting to help improve the app (the app was opened, a widget was displayed). Never the phrases you save, and never your name, email, advertising ID, or location. You can turn it off under Privacy in the menu. ■ Fixed a bug where Pro could switch itself off after you had paid When the purchase could not be read (no network, signed out of the App Store, just after a restore), the app treated it as “not purchased”. It now stays on until Apple actually reports that the entitlement is gone.

Momentum comes from crawler snapshots for the tracked storefront. “Viral growth signal” means unusually fast recent rating gains; it is an indicator, not download data.
