About this app
NutriSnap is the fast, private way to track what you eat and reach your goal — whether that's losing weight, maintaining, gaining, or building muscle. SNAP YOUR MEAL — EVERY FOOD ON THE PLATE Point your camera at a meal and NutriSnap finds each food in the photo right on your device — no upload, ever — and suggests matches. Every result is an estimate you confirm: tap a food, pick a real household portion ("1 cup", "1 slice, medium"), and it's logged. SCAN ANY BARCODE — FREE Point at a product's barcode to look up its nutrition instantly. Free for everyone, no daily limit. Product data from Open Food Facts contributors (ODbL) and USDA. 13,000+ FOODS WITH REAL PORTIONS Search USDA FoodData Central — including mixed dishes like pizza, fried rice and burritos — each with real household portion weights, so "1 slice" means grams, not guesses. Re-log recents in one tap, copy yesterday's meals, and NutriSnap remembers your last portion. A no-scale portion guide helps you judge amounts by hand. Prefer to type? Search or add custom foods. CALORIES IN AND OUT NutriSnap reads the calories you burn from Apple Health — active and resting energy, steps and workouts — so you always see what you ate, what you burned, and what's left. Logged food is written back to Apple Health, and your weight history is imported so your trend chart stays complete. A PLAN BUILT FOR YOU Tell NutriSnap your goal and a few details and it calculates a daily calorie and macro target using the published Mifflin-St Jeor equation — then adapts as your weight changes. Choose your pace and see when you'll reach your goal weight. YOUR PERSONAL COACH — BACKED BY SCIENCE The Coach turns each day into clear, friendly guidance: what to eat to hit your protein, a quick walk to balance an over-budget day, and tips tailored to your goal. Every recommendation and calculation cites its source — peer-reviewed research and guidance from the CDC, WHO, FDA, NIH, and the Dietary Reference Intakes — one tap away in Sources & References. YOUR DIET, YOUR SLEEP — TOGETHER NutriSnap pairs your food log with the sleep Apple Health records — something neither app does alone. See whether late dinners, afternoon caffeine or evening alcohol line up with shorter or more restless nights in your own data, plus sleep debt vs the 7-hour guideline, schedule consistency and overnight vitals. Computed on your device, never uploaded, with sources cited in the app. YOUR FUEL, YOUR TRAINING The Activity page puts calories IN next to calories OUT — your meals beside your Apple Watch rings and workouts on one screen. See your weekly energy balance and whether you fuelled with protein after a workout. FREE TO USE — PRO IF YOU WANT MORE The free tier includes unlimited manual logging and search, Apple Health sync, weight tracking, the Coach, and 3 photo scans a day (watch a short ad for 3 more). The free tier is supported by ads. NutriSnap Pro unlocks unlimited photo scans and every chart range, and removes all ads — as an auto-renewable subscription: $3.99 per month or $24.99 per year. New subscribers get 7 days free first; it then renews automatically at that price each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store settings. PRIVATE BY DESIGN - No accounts. Your diary stays on your device and syncs through your own private iCloud. - Meal photos are analysed on-device and never uploaded. - Your Apple Health data is never shared with advertisers or used for ads. - Declined tracking? You'll simply see non-personalized ads — and Pro removes ads entirely. NutriSnap provides general nutrition estimates for wellness and is not medical advice. Photo recognition is an estimate — you confirm the food and amount. Consult your physician before starting a weight-management program. What’s New
Supplements finally count, and your glucose readings sit next to your meals. • Add the supplements you take and tick off what you took — they now count toward your vitamin and mineral totals, so a daily multivitamin no longer leaves you looking short. • Where a dose goes above a published upper limit for the supplemental form, NutriSnap says so plainly and cites the source. It never tells you what to take. • If a glucose monitor or meter writes to Apple Health — Stelo, Lingo, Dexcom and others do — you can see those readings beside the meals you logged. For reference only; NutriSnap displays them, it doesn't interpret them. • Export your health markers and supplements as CSV, and your food log now carries its vitamins and minerals too. Your data leaves with you. • A clear warning before a free trial converts, naming the amount you'll be charged. • If a payment fails, you'll see it in time to fix it instead of quietly losing Pro. Your photos still never leave your phone, and barcode scanning is still free for everyone.
