Scan the barcode of any food, treat, or topper for cats or dogs to find a product and see its available PetRoot Score, ingredients, evidence, safety notes, and score breakdown. PetRoot’s proprietary scoring system is informed by AAFCO nutrient profiles and label standards, WSAVA nutrition guidance, and a research library of more than 100 peer-reviewed studies. Create profiles for your dogs and cats with details such as age, weight, allergies, sensitivities, conditions, and diet goals. With PetRoot Plus, Pet Fit checks reviewed product information against the profile you select, helping you spot a promising match or a reason to look more closely. Plus members can also ask Spot about products, ingredients, scores, product recommendations, and everyday safety questions. Spot uses PetRoot’s product and safety information and can tailors all recommendations to each of your pets. When a barcode isn’t handy, search or browse the entire catalog of by product name, brand, or UPC. If PetRoot hasn’t reviewed a product yet, Plus members receive priority analysis for new submissions. PetRoot provides educational information and does not replace veterinary care.
