About this app

Puzzle Moment brings fresh puzzles every day, made for calm play. No restless animations, no clock breathing down your neck, no notifications. Just you and the puzzle. The app is designed for e-ink screens such as the Boox, but works just as well on a regular device. High contrast and large touch targets. Puzzle types: - Classic Sudoku, from 4×4 to 12×12. Difficulty follows from the solving technique it takes. - Sudoku X: the classic rules, with each digit also appearing once on both diagonals. - Killer Sudoku: no given digits; the cages with sum totals show the way. - Binary puzzle (takuzu): keep zeros and ones balanced, never three alike in a row. - Nonogram: colour the squares by the numbers and a picture appears. - Futoshiki: place each digit once per row and column; the signs show greater and smaller. - Hitori: shade squares so no number stays white twice in a row or column. - Kakuro: a crossword of sums; every run adds up to its clue number. - Tectonic: fill each block with the digits 1 up to its size; equal digits never touch. - Number search: cross out the digit sequences; the leftovers form the final code. - Number path: lay a path across digits and plus and minus signs to the target numbers. - Word maker: make as many words as you can from the given letters. - Word search: every word can be found exactly once; the leftover letters spell the solution word. - Fill-in: cells sharing a number share a letter; the highlighted column spells the solution word. - Arrowword: a crossword with its clues inside the grid. - Knight's jump: jump along the eight letters like a chess knight and find the hidden word. - Codebreaker: a crossword without clues; every number stands for a letter. - Crossword: the classic, across and down. Games: - Tents and Trees: pitch one tent next to every tree; tents never touch. - Klondike solitaire and FreeCell: every daily deal is winnable. - Crazy eights: the familiar shedding card game against the computer. - Sliding puzzle: slide the tiles into order. - Peg solitaire: jump pegs over each other until one remains. - Mahjong solitaire: find the free pairs and clear the stack; you can never get stuck. - Way Out: steer the marked block to the exit. - Pipes: rotate the pipes until everything connects to the source. - Memory: find all the pairs. - Tower of Hanoi: move the tower in as few moves as you can. - Lights Out: every press toggles a light and its neighbors; darken the whole board. - Secret Code: crack the symbol code. - Merge (2048): slide equal numbers together and reach the target. - Connect Four, Reversi, Sea Battle, Dominoes, Draughts, Nine Men's Morris and Mancala: board classics against the computer. - Rumms: lay runs and groups of numbered tiles and empty your rack. - Fleet Review and Rain Well: logic puzzles, always solvable by pure reasoning. - Dice Game: roll three times and pick your category. - Chess Puzzle: white to move and mate in one or two. - Block Pop: pop groups of equal blocks; bigger groups score more. Nine games do not wait for the next day: start the Dice Game, Crazy eights, Connect Four, Reversi, Dominoes, Draughts, Nine Men's Morris, Mancala and Rumms as often as you like, free of charge. An unfinished game is easy to pick up later. The word puzzles follow a daily theme. Play offline; your progress is saved and syncs once you are connected again. No account, no email address, just your device. Today's puzzles are free every day. Puzzle Moment Extra opens the archive of earlier days, lets you practise without limit on extra number puzzles and puts you on every puzzle's leaderboard; watching is always free. My records keeps your best times and scores, you can link several devices, and two weeks of upcoming puzzles sit on your device for a holiday without internet. Text size is adjustable, boards are zoomable and the app works with VoiceOver.

What’s New

Version 1.6.1 Aug 18, 2026

New in this version: - In sudoku and the other number puzzles the digits were squeezed together so tightly that they were hard to hit. They are now always big enough for a fingertip, and they spread over two rows as soon as they no longer fit side by side. - Erase and Notes moved to a line of their own, so they no longer push the digits out of the way. - Fixed: the bottom button partly disappeared behind the keyboard. Exactly enough room is now kept free. - Fixed: a leaderboard time could be cut down to a wrong number, so 1:39 appeared as 1:3. Numbers now always stay whole; when room runs short the name is shortened instead. - Fixed: the daily theme under the word puzzles broke off halfway. On a narrow screen today's theme and tomorrow's now sit one above the other, both complete. - Fixed: on a large screen the progress bar and the Tap letters box in Word Maker sat against the left edge instead of centred. The same applied to the clue lists in the crossword and the filippine.
